We are preparing to open the Sanqing Temple of Australia to the public in 2027, located at the base of Mount Dandenong in Melbourne, covering an area of 1,100 square meters. The projected total cost of the temple is approximately AUD 3 million. The first fundraising goal is set at AUD 300,000, which includes land acquisition, title transfer, and design approvals.

We sincerely invite all devoted disciples and kind-hearted individuals to actively participate in this sacred undertaking and help spread the essence of traditional Chinese Taoist culture worldwide.

Origins of Taoism

According to Taoist scriptures, Taoism arose before the dawn of creation, when the universe was still formless and chaotic. At that time:

• Taishang Laojun was born amid the primordial void, and also known as Pangu, the cosmic creator.

• The five primordial stages (Taiyi, Taichu, Taisu, Taishi, Taiji) unfolded, separating the light and pure from the heavy and turbid — thus heaven and earth emerged.

• From the Three Pure Energies came the Three Heavens.
